Occupational therapists collaborate and work in interprofessional and intraprofessional teams to enable participation in occupations by using and promoting equal and shared decision making.

As a change agent, occupational therapists use their expertise in occupational performance and engagement to advocate for and with clients to advance positive change towards occupational justice and balance.

Occupational therapists must be proficient in the practice manager competency because they need to manage their time, prioritize tasks and cases, and support effective and efficient practice.
